Nikos Chalkias – Flautist
Nikos Chalkias, flautist with the International Chamber Music AMBERLINK ENSEMBLE, studied with D. Fotopoulos.
His narrations and transcriptions are invaluable to the group’s continued success.He attended Masterclasses with Marion, Bennet, Fromanger, Pierlot, Gerard, Graff and has participated in numerous performances as orchestra member and soloist. Contemporary Greek Composers Ioannidis, Varotsis, Papadopoulos, Travlos, Andreadis, Prosoparis have dedicated their work to him. A founding member and piccolo-player of the Pireaus Wind Orchestra, Nikos teaches flute and chamber music classes in state schools in Athens.
